About Drunken Parrot

We are a fun, helpful, casual and very social guild on that welcomes mature WoW players lvl 20+ and their alts. We are on Stormrage, US and we are FOR THE ALLIANCE! We have a tabard, 4 bank tabs, vent & this incredible website all for our member's enjoyment! For our 70s, we have 3 guild arena teams and we're also casually raiding Karazhan. We hold weekly guild-wide events, and post news/events every Monday. Thatshot is the guild leader, and our officers are: Darthbeer, Maitai, Mickael & Smurphi.

TO APPLY TO THE GUILD (and sign up for the website): Signing up will give you access to the member forums, the guild bank and our ventrillo chat server information. Click Apply to Guild, on the left-hand side of the page under "Membership". Fill out the form to create a guildlaunch.com account. Fill out our Guild Application. Wait for an officer to accept your application (you may want to PST an officer in-game to speed this up). Once accepted, you should be able to login and have access to the forums. Come Join The Parrot Party!

Guild-Wide Events
As always - we have fun things planned for this week! It always good guild times here at Drunken Parrot.

Sunday, August 24
Exodar Hide-n-Seek!
When: Game 1: 8:00 PM Game 2: 8:30 PM
What:
GAME 1
* The officers will hide in Exodar with PRIZES.
* Everyone will gather outside of Exodar (near the flight path) and will sign-up to participate. PST Thatshot for registration.
* You MUST read and be familiar with these rules to participate, we won't be able to repeat all this in-game.
* All officers will have 1 Prize to give to the FIRST player to find them
that has not received a prize.
* To recieve your prize - you must open up a trade window to an officer so that they can "hear" you.
* The event will run for 20 minutes.

GAME 2
* Ghost in the Graveyard style
* Everyone hides! You must stay in your hiding place. No stealth, or invis pots please!
* The person (TBD) who is "it" seeks out the other players. Once the first person is found, then BOTH players seek out the other players, and so on and so on.
* The last person to be found is the winner

Rules For Seeking
* HONOR SYSTEM: Like with many of our contests, we use the honor system because we cannot monitor every activity perfectly. We ask that all contestants please remember that if you play honestly, the competition is more real and more fun. Please do not spoil the experience for other players by cheating.
* Speed must be normal run - no mounts, spells, trinkets, speedy boots, etc.
* No hearthing, summons, portals, or other methods that bend the time-space continuum
* You cannot try and find the hider using anything besides your eyes.
* Do not send group invitations to hiders - this is grounds for disqualification.
* You cannot use stuff like the eagle eye spell or the Ornate Spyglass.
* There will be no hiding or seeking in GLITCHES (Under IF, Over IF, through IF) - this can get your account banned.
* Do NOT give away locations of the officers to anyone else.

Guildie of the Month (of September) NOMINATIONS
Where: See thread "Guildlie of the Month (of September)" in the Contest/Events Forum.
When: Nominations must be made by Sunday, Aug 24 @ Midnight
What:
We will be taking nominations for guildie of the month (of September). The GOTM will receive fabulous prizes from DPEvent, as well as being tagged GOTM, and having his/her beautiful face plastered on this website for all to see!!! So if you think someone is deserving of this prestigious award (or would like to nominate yourself), be sure to nominate them this week. World Dragon Ownage RECAP
We all met up in Duskwood for our second guild world dragon event. This time we took down Ysondre. She was a toughie but after we got a hang of the strategy & plan - we did a great job taking her down (on our third try). We had a full guild-only group and it was a lot of fun! Here's a pic:
